Our Mission & What We Do
Mission:
The Career Center's primary mission is to assist students in making the transition from academic life to professional employment.
What We Do:
- Help students plan, identify, refine and implement their career goals and job search campaign.
- Provide timely, current information on employment opportunities and labor market trends.
- Create venues that allow students to network and interview with hiring employers.
- Foster and maintain active partnerships with academic departments to ensure seamless referrals between the Career Center, the academic community and employers.
Meet
the Staff
Career Center Career Peers
The Career Center’s Career Peers are talented undergraduate and graduate-level students trained to provide career planning and job search coaching to students on a peer-to-peer level. Career Peers are trained to present on a variety of career topics, to assist with student outreach and to promote the importance of early and continuous career planning and preparation.
Career Peers:
- Represent the Career Center at various campus events
- Present workshops in the Career Center and to classes and organizations
- Provide information on occupational exploration, decision-making and job search processes
- Critique resumes and cover letters
- Participate in Career Center Career and Job Fairs

Career Express Walk-in Advising Hours
We are located in the Student Services Building, (SVC), on the east side of Martin Luther King Plaza, and across from the USF Bookstore, in room 2088, on the 2nd floor. Take the stairs opposite the Financial Aid office in the breezeway, to the 2nd floor. Turn left, and continue until you come to an interior hallway at the end of the breezeway. We're at the end of the hall, next to the elevators.
The visitor parking closest to the SVC building is in the Collins Parking Garage, where you will find parking permit vending machines.
