Policies for Career Networking Fair, Public Service Career Fair, Part-time Job Fair,
Graduate & Professional School Fair
The University of South Florida Career Center offers Career Networking Fairs, Part-time Job Fairs, Graduate & Professional School Fairs and Public Service Career Fairs to provide students a venue to network with employers, submit their resume to recruiters and learn about employment opportunities. Career Fairs allow employers to create awareness of their organization, employment opportunities and recruit potential candidates. The Career Networking Fair is scheduled as a “kick-off” event for the recruiting season.
Right to Refuse:
The Career Center reserves the right to deny access and participation to any student, alumni, recruiter, hiring organization and/or school.
Eligibility
- Any recruiter representing his/her direct hiring organization may participate in the Career Networking Fair and Public Service Career Fair.
- Any recruiter representing his/her direct hiring organization (to include staffing agencies) may participate in the Part-time Job Fair.
- Any college, university or professional school recruiter may participate in the Graduate & Professional School Fair. The Career Center reserves the right to include vendors, for an additional fee, in the Graduate & Professional School Fair.
Fees
- A registration fee plus tax is set for all fairs. Registration fee for fairs in the SunDome include:
1 parking permit

2 chairs
2 continental breakfasts
2 lunches
- Registration fee for fairs in the Marshall Center (MC) or Student Services (SVC) Breezeway include:

Please Note:
Additional fees may also be assessed for additional display table(s), additional lunch(es) and electrical access.
Tax exempt organizations must provide the Career Center a copy of their tax exempt certification at the time the fair registration form is submitted.
A maximum of 6 representatives may staff each organization table. If your organization intends to bring more than 6 recruiters, an additional table must be purchased. For example, if you intend to bring 12 recruiters, you would reserve 2 tables, and so on.
Cancellations & No Shows
- Cancellations received IN WRITING, prior to the cancellation deadline two weeks before the fair will receive a full refund. No refunds will be issued after the deadline date.
- If a registration has been paid and the organization is a “no-show”, registration will not be refunded or credited toward any future Career Center fair.
- Employers whose account is not paid in full will be required to pay for all past outstanding fees and pre-pay for the current fair they wish to attend. Employers with any outstanding fees will not be permitted to attend the fair, until their account is paid in full.
- Employers with outstanding fees will be invoiced by the Career Center. An invoice and two past-due notices will be sent. The third notice will be the final notice. If the employer has not paid their account in full by the deadline date noted on the third notice, their account will be referred to the university to refer to a private collection agency. Employers will be notified that their organization will be liable for the collections agency fee.
Miscellaneous
- In the event a fair must be cancelled or the date moved, employers/recruiters that have already paid will have the option to receive a full refund or have the registration fee applied to the next scheduled fair.
- If circumstances warrant, the director reserves the right to extend the final deadline.
- Employers must adhere to equal opportunity laws and principles for employment processionals as outlined in the National Association of College & Employers "Principles for Professional Conduct for Career Services & Employment Professionals."
- School recruiters and employers may only use fairs to identify and recruit candidates for employment and/or their academic programs. Recruiters may not sell their products/services or solicit future purchase of products/services at a fair.
- Parking tickets cannot be waived nor appealed by or through the Career Center.
- The Career Center will accommodate same day registration as long as a table and space is available
