Two Types of Interview Schedules

What is a Pre-Select Interview Schedule?

Pre-select interview schedules allow employers to pre-screen potential candidates from a pool of applicants who meet the employer's interview criteria.

The process for a Pre-select schedule typically takes a minimum of 4 weeks from completion of the Career Connections Schedule Request form to interviewing of candidates. Following is the general process:

  1. Schedule Request form completed by employer, including job description and hiring criteria for candidates
  2. Requested interview date confirmed by Career Center and position posted in Career Connections for student viewing
  3. Position viewed and resumes submitted, by students meeting hiring criteria, for pre-selection via Career Connections
  4. Closing of interview request period - students can no longer submit resumes
  5. Selection of preferred students by employers, from submitted resumes (preselect pool), via Career Connections
  6. Notification of students selected for an interview
  7. Selection of interview time on a first-come, first-served basis by pre-selected students via Career Connections
  8. Interview conducted in Career Center
