Career Fairs
Employers who attended Jan. 31st Career Fair

Open to USF students and USF alumni only. USF ID required.

A Career  Fair is a great way to network face-to-face with local and national employers interested in hiring USF students and graduates for full-time, Co-op and internship positions. Career Fairs are free of charge to USF students and alumni. Because there are so many employers all in one place on the same day, Career Fairs are a very efficient use of your job search time.

Be prepared to market yourself as the best candidate the recruiter will meet at the fair!  To make sure you’re well-prepared, attend our "Prepare for the Fair"   events prior to the Career Fair.

Career Networking Fairs, co-sponsored with the USF Alumni Association, are open to all USF students and USF Alumni and are held at the beginning of fall and spring semesters in the Sun Dome.

Career Fairs are a great opportunity to:

  • Discuss employment openings with employers
  • Distribute your resume (bring at least 10 -15 copies of laser quality with you)
  • Discuss your qualifications, skills and academic background
  • Obtain company information/business cards of the organizations that interest you

What to do before a Career Fair:

  1. Research websites of employers of interest to you, who will be attending.
  2. Update your resume.
  3. Attend Career Fair Tips workshop.
  4. Look for the "Career Fair & Job Search Guide" insert in the Oracle on the Wed. one week prior to the fair.
  5. Prepare and rehearse a 1-minute script about yourself.
  6. Anticipate and practice answering possible questions.
  7. Put together a business-professional outfit for the Fair.
  8. Attend "Prepare-for-the Fair" events.

Be eligible to enter a drawing for a GPS NAVIGATION SYSTEM by meeting all the criteria on the "3 S's for Success" checklist for professional attire at the Career Fair! GPS donated by Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE).
