Career Networking Fair
All Majors: Sept. 27, 2012
Science, Technology, Engineering & Accounting: Sept. 28, 2012
10am-3pm, Marshall Student Center Ballroom

Career  Fairs are a great way to network face-to-face with local and national employers interested in hiring USF students and graduates for full-time, Co-op and internship positions. Because there are so many employers all in one place on the same day, Career Fairs are a very efficient use of your job search time! Co-sponsored with the USF Alumni Association, Career Fairs are exclusively for USF students and alumni with valid USF ID.

Career Fairs are a great opportunity to:

  • Discuss employment openings with employers
  • Distribute your resume (bring at least 10 -15 copies of laser quality with you)
  • Discuss your qualifications, skills and academic background
  • Obtain company information/business cards of the organizations that interest you
What to do before a Career Fair:
1. Research websites of employers who will be attending (see link at top of page).
2. Update your resume.
3. Attend Career Fair Tips workshop and/or view Career Fair Tips Online Seminar
4. Attend "Prepare-for-the Fair" events.
5. Read "Career Fair Tips " and "How Competitive are you in Today's Economy?" and view " Job Fair Success."
6. Prepare and rehearse a one-minute introduction or "elevator speech."
7. Anticipate and practice answering possible interview questions.
