Interview Preparation and Practice
One of the most invaluable things you can do to achieve a successful interview is to be fully prepared. If you’ve never had a job interview, there are steps you can take to be ready. Even if you’ve had several, it's important not to be complacent. Do your research for each one and allow ample time to prepare fully. You'll need to practice your interview, research the company, make sure your interview attire is appropriate, clean and neat - and have a polished resume. Interviewing is a skill; and as with all skills, preparation and practice maximize that skill. Preparation can make the difference between getting an offer and not getting one. Practice Interviews: The Career Center uses Optimal Resume's Interview Prep to conduct and record practice interviews. Interview Prep allows you to observe your body language and speech patterns in order to build on your strengths and correct your weaknesses, and is a great way to develop your interview information and delivery! (Please note that accepting a real interview solely to get interview practice is never appropriate.)
Below you will find several resources to help you make a great impression at your interview!
