On-campus Interview Cancellation Policy

Please read our Cancellation/No-show policy thoroughly in order to avoid losing your interview privileges.

Cancellation Policy for On-campus Interviews

  • Students/alumni have up to 5 days prior to their scheduled on-campus interview to cancel their interview via Career Connections, with no adverse consequences.

  • Students/alumni who cancel their interview after the "Cancel Interview Period" in Career Connections are required to call (813) 974-2171 or come by the Career Center (SVC 2088) to cancel their interview at least 24 hours in advance of their scheduled interview date/time.

  • Cancellation of an interview not made at least 24 hours in advance of the scheduled interview is called a "Late Cancellation" and considered the same as a "No-Show," subject to the same consequences.

No Show/Late Cancellation Policy for On-Campus Interviews
Students/alumni who fail to show up for a scheduled interview and do not notify the Career Center 24 hours prior to the interview will have their Career Connections on-campus interview status de-activated.

After the 1st no-show or late cancellation - The student/alumnus applicant type OCI in Career Connections is removed. The student/alumnus may remain on schedules already signed on (to include having submitted a resume for pre-select consideration, or actually having claimed an interview time slot) but will lose the privilege of participating or signing on any schedules for the remainder of the recruiting semester.

To request re-activation of OCI status, the student must personally schedule an appt. and meet with their assigned career counselor who will make the decision on whether to re-activate OCI status. No phone meeting reviews will be accepted to discuss a no-show or late cancellation.

After the 2nd no-show or late cancellation within an academic year - the student/alumnus applicant type of OCI in Career Connections is removed. The student / alumnus may remain on schedules already signed on (to include having submitted a resume for pre-select consideration, or actually having claimed an interview time slot) but will lose the privilege of participating or signing on any schedules for the remainder of the recruiting semester.

To request re-activation - the student must personally schedule a meeting with their career counselor and the Assistant Director, Career Development, to appeal. The Assistant Director will make the decision on whether to re-activate the account.

After the 3rd no-show or late cancellation within an academic year - the student/alumnae is permanently removed from any participation in OCI for the remainder of the academic year. The student / alumnae may not remain on schedules already signed on (to include having submitted a resume for pre-select consideration, or actually having claimed an interview time slot). The Assistant Director of the Career Development Team and the Director reserves the right to re-activate the student's account if it is believed circumstances warrant such a decision.
